Data scientist and BI developer experienced in building end-to-end data analytics products to provide essential data insights and business reporting. Looker enthusiast.
My background is in financial reporting and project management. Currently I work in a Portuguese tech company helping them set up an end-to-end business intelligence ecosystem and make the decisions more data informed.
Most recent projects I developed were done in Looker, and I am on my way to get LookML developer certification.
I have a Master's degree in Data science and Advanced Analytics from NOVA IMS in Lisbon (my first degree was linguistics!).
I am passionate about getting things done and making the best use of data to solve real-life business challenges. I believe that combining pragmatic business mindset and attention to details can make a big difference.

Outside of data science I enjoy hiking, sailing and am an amateaur photographer. I am also learning Portuguese as I would love to start speaking the language of my host country.

Market demand forecasting for private transfers company
Using past booking data developed demand forecast model to predict number of expected services 8 weeks in advance, in order to give the company enough time to hire the drivers. Project required a lot of feature engineering and data transformations, and final model was able to predict with maximum deviation of 10% from true demand. Find out more here
Product Recommendations using Google Pagerank
Developed predictive model for an e-shop which shows list of recommended products at check-in based on individual customer shopping history and the list of products customer was likely to forget at check-out. Model adapted from Google pagerank algorithm. Find out more here
Customer segmentation for hospitality industry
Conducted customer analysis using k-means clustering. Identified customer behaviour patterns and produced a report on customer characteristics for each segment which identified opportunities for target marketing. Find out more here
PowerBI Dashboard for a global retail company
Built business dashboard focusing on Sales & GP Analysis and Product and Market analysis identifying key KPI metrics. Project included building ETL Pipeline, defining dimensional schema and creating interactive executive dashboard. Find out more here
Visualizing kickstarter projects
